Country House Front Garden
The owners of this beautiful country house were the winners of the prize donated by Francis Haigh Garden Design at the Pink Ball in aid of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.
The brief was to provide a formal, more defined entrance to the house as well as paved access from the rear. The area adjacent to the garage had become overgrown and the owners were keen to open this up and allow better access into the rear garden.
The design sees the introduction of a pathway to the front of the house alongside a border of Roses and clipped Box Hedge. This theme is continued with access to the rear gate and a large bed with Lavender. The use of Topiary gives formality to the design. Many of the existing plants have been incorporated where possible. The wall adjacent to the drive has been left simple, tall elegant Juniperus Skyrocket with a Lavender hedge completes the look.
