Shady Border
The owners of this north facing shady front garden wanted to remove part of the existing lawn and introduce a new border. The area was not only shady but very wet and drainage was a major problem. Previous attempts to plant shrubs had been unsuccessful and the choice of plants was crucial to this design.
By using plants which were comfortable with these conditions and in some cases those which thrive in the wet and damp, we have been able to transform this entrance to the house into a welcoming colourful space with year round seasonal interest.
